Manual – Lithophane Photo Frame

By day, you see and feel a white 3D photo relief. In the evening, when you turn on the light, your memory becomes visible in warm colors.

What is the Lithophane Photo Frame?

At first glance, you only see a white 3D photo relief. As soon as light shines through the back of the photo, the warm photo colors become visible.

This is thanks to the built-in LED lighting that shines through the Lithophane photo. Connect the photo frame with the USB-C cable to the included power adapter or a suitable power bank and discover how your photo changes when the light turns on.

How does the Lithophane Photo Frame work?

The lithophane photo is 3D printed and built up layer by layer. Inside, the colors cyan, magenta, and yellow are incorporated. Depending on how they are stacked, different colors are created. Then follow many white layers, which together form the tactile 3D photo relief.

The 3D photo can be clicked in and out of the photo frame, so you can also switch between different photos.

Operating Instructions

1. Placing the 3D photo

  • Hold the 3D photo with the tactile relief facing you.
  • Align the photo edges with the notches in the photo frame.
  • Press gently, corner by corner, until the photo clicks completely into place.

2. Removing the 3D photo

  • Find the small, hollow slot on the short side of the photo frame, next to the 3D photo.
  • Use your fingernail to carefully click the 3D photo loose through this slot.

3. Connecting the lighting

  • Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the back of the photo frame.
  • Connect the other end to a power adapter or power bank.
  • As soon as the power is connected, the photo frame lights up automatically.

Safety Instructions

Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures. The photo frame and the 3D photo are made of PLA, a plastic that can deform at temperatures around 60 °C. Therefore, do not place the product in direct sunlight or near radiators, other heat sources, or open flames.

Do not leave the lighting unattended. Both the built-in LED lighting and the connected power adapter or power bank can become warm during use. Ensure that the heat can be sufficiently dissipated and do not cover the power adapter or power bank.

Check during prolonged useregularly whether these components are overheating. If any of these components becomes extremely hot, starts to smoke, or you notice a strange odor, stop using it immediately and disconnect the power supply if it can be done safely. Do not use the product again and contact us.

Avoid water and damp areas. The photo frame is not waterproof and should not be exposed to damp environments. Avoid any contact with water or other liquids. Intended for indoor use only.

Use a suitable power adapter and cable. Preferably use the included USB-C cable and power adapter. If you use a different power adapter or power bank, ensure that it provides an output voltage of 5 V DC and can deliver at least 1 A.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Always disconnect the USB-C cable and the power adapter or power bank before cleaning.

3D photo: Carefully remove dust and dirt with a soft, dry brush.

Photo frame: Clean the photo frame with a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it thoroughly dry. Do not use running water, cleaning agents, or abrasive materials.

This product is covered by the statutory two-year warranty.
